Since 2005, owners Dave and Hye Son Dye have built a solid reputation as The South Sound's most trusted dive service. The Dyes are committed to providing quality service to the community. They believe that a reputation as an honest and reliable business is the recipe for success. While others seek to profit by cutting corners, or recommending unnecessary services to customers, the Dyes believe that a good reputation and consistent service will reap bigger profits in the long run. By being trustworthy, the Dyes believe that they will enjoy a long term profitable business that serves the community.
Dave has been a certified diver since 1974. Some years ago he began to think, as a boat owner himself, that there was a better way to run a dive service, and that there were many aspects to the then-existing services that could be improved. Reliability was a big one. Costs seemed too high to him also, and sometines the level of training and expertise of the divers left something to be desired. Dave thought he could do a better job.
He started out doing all the diving himself. As the business grew, he began to hire divers to serve the expansion of his customer base. But getting commercial divers trained in pleasure boat zinc replacement and hull cleaning proved to be difficult - most of the commercial divers in the Puget Sound area were trained to do other types of commercial diving, such as working on oil-rigs, and didn't possess the skills and experience Dave needed.
So Dave developed his own training program, and began to hire competent divers and train them himself. Dave's is now the largest and still fastest -growing dive service of its type in the south Puget Sound metropolitan area.

"For over ten years I have appreciated the attention to detail, quality of services and responsiveness to my needs provided by Dave's Dive Services. Whether they are checking zincs, cleaning the bottom, pulling props or retrieving items dropped over the side, I always know the job will be done right and timely. Trusting their expertise provides me with the comfort that the boat is ready to cruise, and that provides me more time to enjoy boating. It is easy to trust the best."

"Love the automated schedule! I intended to call at the end of the month to check in, but just got my invoice via email and I'm thrilled to see the work had been completed already (and in a fair manner at that). If you own a boat that needs regular in-water maintenance (zincs, cleaning, inspection, etc), give these guys a call. They are timely, competitive, thorough, and fair."

"You do good work. I had my boat hauled today for bottom paint. The bottom and running gear looked very good. The travel lift operator was amazed it has been four years since the last haul out. Diver has obviously been doing a good job."
"Their service is unsurpassed. Our customers really like them. We've never had a complaint."

"I own a 40' boat that is moored year-round in a Tacoma marina. It doesn't take long for marine growth, electrolysis and other environmental challenges to start deteriorating al areas of a vessel. Dave's professional crew did a complete inspection, and actually advised that some work was unnecessary, saving me the cost I would have easily paid, unknowingly. This is the type of integrity that keeps customers loyal. Dave is the only choice for me!"
"Dave's Dive Services is punctual, timely, efficient, and they do a superior job. I highly recommend them to any boat owner of any size boat."
